Note: We recommend using the Global Shutter sensor with the H7 R1/R2 or H7 Plus only at this time. The RT1062 V4 has line noise issues which impact image quality with the Global Shutter Sensor. We've fixed this for the RT1062 V5, which will go on sale once we sell out of the RT1062 V4. This note will be removed when this is the case. If you are okay with minor image quality issues, you can use this sensor with the RT1062 V4; quite a few of our customers have not noticed any problems with their apps.
The Global Shutter Camera Module allows your OpenMV Cam to capture high quality grayscale images not affected by motion blur. The module features the MT9V034 Global Shutter Camera Module capable of tacking snapshot pictures on demand along with being able to run 80 FPS in QVGA mode, 200 FPS in QQVGA mode, and 400 FPS in QQQVGA mode. The global shutter camera is extremely useful for high FPS tracking applications and taking precision snapshots triggered by an external event. When running at a high FPS with low exposure the sensor allows you to capture very fast movement of illuminated objects. When in triggered mode you can easily take snapshots at the exact time an object is within the field of view.
