OpenMV works closely with multiple types of ecosystem partners, including Electronics Distributors, Engineering Service Firms and Licensees, to ultimately better serve the end-customers of computer vision solutions.
Through sharing of upcoming features, training of sales and engineering staff, collaboration/support on partner projects, and custom HW/SW development, OpenMV aims to enable our ecosystem partners to better fulfill their customer’s needs using OpenMV technologies.
OpenMV partners with leading distributors to gain access to unique customer segments and unique geographies, all while providing the distributor with a differentiated product offering in the space of high performance, low power computer vision compute.
OpenMV supports leading engineering service firms as they integrate OpenMV technologies into the solutions they provide their end-customers across all industries, whether it is a warehouse system integrator using an OpenMV camera to monitor foot traffic in a safety zone for a large retailer, or a software development firm creating a gauge monitoring solution for a multinational oil & gas conglomerate, or a product design studio integrating the OpenMV camera into a toy robot it is designing for a large toy manufacturer or a defense contractor selecting the OpenMV camera for use in a base perimeter monitoring station, OpenMV aims to support engineering service firms as they create value for their customers using OpenMV technologies.
Physik Instrumente (PI) is a company that designs and manufactures precision motion and positioning systems. Their products are used in many industries, including life sciences, photonics, and semiconductor manufacturing.
OpenMV works with large production customers (consumer electronics producers, consumer/commercial camera producers, medical device producers, etc.) to license our unique architecture to enable these customers to tightly integrate our architecture into their specially designed hardware/software solution, enabling licensees to access our technology to produce better products more quickly.
Some drivers, modules, and libraries in OpenMV's firmware are proprietary and available for non-commercial use only. Official OpenMV hardware and licensed devices may use the proprietary code. For commercial licensing options, contact openmv@openmv.io.
The Arduino® Nicla Vision is a powerful microcontroller equipped with 2MP color camera in a tiny form factor. With WiFi and BLE connectivity, the board maximizes compatibility with professional and consumer equipment. The board features an integrated microphone, distance sensor, smart 6-axis motion sensor and MicroPython support. The Nicla Vision can also be battery powered making it standalone.
OpenMV works with producers of SOCs (System on a Chip), MCUs (Microcontroller Unit) and other high-end processing units to co-develop new processing units using OpenMV designs for high volume production, providing new capabilities to the customer base of existing silicon vendors while providing an avenue for OpenMV to provide its technology at high volumes.
OpenMV has worked diligently over the years to cultivate a rich ecosystem of microcontroller and computer vision trade groups. Through these trade groups, we are able to better understand the desires of the market, ensuring we are building what customers want, while simultaneously providing trade group members special access to roadmap progress and training.
