The Camera Module Extension Cable allows you to separate the camera module from the motherboard. The extension cable is useful for any application where you need to place the camera module and processor body in different locations.
Make sure to connect the extension cable with the same orientation as shown in the product pictures. Failure to do so may damage some OpenMV Cam variants.
Note: Daisy-chaining cables to get a longer cable does not work.
8cm (original): Works with all camera modules.
8cm (new): Works with all camera modules.
12cm (new): Works with the PAG7936, PS5520, OV7725, MT9M114, MT9V034, GENX320, OV5640, and FLIR® Lepton® camera modules.
16cm (new): Works with the PAG7936, PS5520, OV7725, MT9M114, MT9V034, GENX320, OV5640, and FLIR® Lepton® camera modules.
20cm (new): Works with the PAG7936, PS5520, OV7725, MT9M114, MT9V034, GENX320, OV5640, and FLIR® Lepton® camera modules.
24cm (new): Works with the PAG7936, PS5520, OV7725, MT9M114, GENX320, and OV5640 camera modules.
Applications
By using this cable you can mount your camera sensor away from your OpenMV Cam so that you can put the camera sensor in smaller places.
