The Camera Module Extension Cable allows you to separate the camera module from the motherboard. The extension cable is useful for any application where you need to place the camera module and processor body in different locations.
Make sure to connect the extension cable with the same orientation as shown in the product pictures. Failure to do so may damage some OpenMV Cam variants.
The 80cm Camera Module Extension Cable does not work with the PAG7936 MIPI sensor. We are working on an updated cable with better impedance control for the PAG7936 MIPI sensor. The 80cm cable works with all other camera modules (including the PS5520 MIPI sensor).
Note: Daisy chaining 80cm cables to get a longer cable does not work.
By using this cable you can mount your camera sensor away from your OpenMV Cam so that you can put the camera sensor in smaller places.
